Fellas and Ladies:

On behalf of Texas Wake, I would like to welcome you to the spring semester. I hope you all had the same relaxing break that I did.  I'm almost certain you all have made me proud (I like to party, remember?).

Myself and the other officers have collaborated extensively over the break, formulating plans and objectives which will be rolled out over the course of this next semester. Bottom line here...more entertainment!

There are many new windows opening up for those interested in becoming a serious member of the Austin wakeboarding community this semester.  This is also an excellent time for Texas Wake to further promote our name to the community to those who are unaware of our existence.

With this in mind, we begin this semester with a focus on expansion; something that is in every organizations vision. In order to broaden the face of Texas Wake, we are looking to bring on roughly 8-20 new members for the spring 2008 semester.

In order for Texas Wake to bring in the best crop of new members, we must have a big field to pick from. This is where all members of Texas Wake come in...

We will be on campus recruiting Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week (22nd, 23rd, and 24th). We kindly ask that you all donate a very small portion of your time (seriously, whatever you are available and willing to work will help) to aid in this process.

We will have a table and watercraft set up either on speedway or on Gregory plaza from 9am-3pm (as done in previous semesters), attracting the best candidates possible for admission into the club.

In order for this to be a success, we need your help!!!

I have attached an excel sheet outlining the dates and times of the recruiting.  Please, simply fill in the cells you are available by highlighting (in whatever color you think is prettiest or most appropriate) the times you are available and willing to work. Obviously, the earlier shifts are hardest to fill, so to compensate for the inconvenience, I will provide breakfast for the added inconvenience. After you have completely highlighted your availability, simply re-save the document and send me the updated excel file.  **Please include you full name in the subject line of the email**

On a different note...All interested new members will be invited to a meeting on Thursday evening, January 24th. Here we will discuss the future plans and initiatives of Texas Wake. I passionately invite every member out to this meeting so we are all on the same page and so we may also take any recommendations on how to improve our developing organization.
